He was taken to hospital, but never regained consciousness. On Friday, South Korean Olympic chiefs demanded a full inquiry into the death to discover whether or not the competition was “mismanaged”. In a press release issued yesterday the FEI responded by saying “a full mandatory investigation was conducted”. It said that a report from technical delegate Andrew Griffiths (GBR), “examining all aspects of the tragedy in respect to the course and conditions was presented.
