Priorities - Outdoor and/or Covered Arenas:
P1 / New Number 1 Priority is twofold:
(A) Drainage - preserve the integrity of this investment, by making this arena surface insusceptible to intermingling of surface with the mud underneath.
(B) Mud : Eliminate downtime due to precipitation - this surface must be usable 365 days / year, regardless of precipitation.
P2: make this a Long-Lasting facility - by using the correct type of sand, in the correct blend of particulate sizes
P3: provide superior "cushion" against concussive injuries to the horses - to prolong the career of the performance horse
P4: provide the correct traction + flexibility ("bounce") - to provide the "perfect competition conditions" suitable for an FEI-approved riding arena
P5: provide a low-maintenance surface that will retain the desirable sand conditions - such as level of sand compaction without "deadening the sand," moisture retention, etc.
